Just putting it out there… Things are going good!

So were about 2/3’s of the way through the Sum41 tour which also featuring Die Mannequin and Sound and Fury. It’s really been a great tour. It’s the third time we’ve been out on an extended tour with 4 bands and again we’re fortunate that it’s been a pleasure to work with everybody involved. When you travel as much as we all do, it’s really nice to hang out with friendly familiar faces day to day. It’s like a giant extended family really. It gives you a sense of ‘home’ so to speak even though home is nowhere in sight. Each band and crew member from every camp has truly helped out in every way possible to keep things running smooth for all you concert goers night after night. It’s a pretty complex system to get 4 bands on and off the stage in a night and we couldn’t do it with all the super cool crew so how about a bow for them all! smile

There’s all kinds of other great things going on in our world that I’d love to share but I’m going to hold some of that info close for the time being and just say… We’re super happy to be where we’re at in every way and extremely excited and optimistic about the near future!

Last, just want to say thanks to you all for sending in your appreciation of the recent concerts and hope to catch up with everybody again real soon!

Th Sky is Falling

snow snow snow snow and more snow.....We just got to Stages in Kingston and as soon as we start to unload the trailer ...the very minute...the very second that the locks came unlocked the sky opened up and dumped snow on us. Don’t get me wrong I like the snow but all of my socks and shoes are soaked....i feel cold right now. The other day we hit a mall ( i’m looking for a new pair of shoes) in Quebec City and stumbled across a dog show in the mall...there were dog solum courses, doggie meet ‘n greets, oh and there were 3 cats there too (poor bastards).... we were happy to hang out pet dogs for a while.
oh oh!!! and we found a couple of cool photo booths, one that puts different hair do’s on a picture of your head (see photo below) and another one that laser engraves your face in 3D to a keychain sized crystal that glows. Just awesome!!!!!
haha good times on tour!

bye for now
Travis

Goodnight Ontario, Good morning Quebec:

**yawn** hey guys, just woke up. It’s about 11 am and I see from the bus window we’re in a Home Depot parking lot...not really sure why but I know that were still a few hours away from the gig in Sherbrooke Quebec....most of the signs are in french so I’m assuming we’re in Montreal or close to.....I’ll be right back I have to brush my teeth......................ahh much better....so where was I?....oh yeah..... The day before yesterday we played an amazing show here in Montreal I would have to say one of the better shows we’ve ever played!! Montreal we love you!!!! The venue was awesome!! The crowd was amazing!! oh and Logan found his inner cowboy!!!....(see picture below) We found a store called Indiana Jeans and the guy there hooked logan up with some pretty sweet cowboy attire. so yeah...we played the show and quickly packed up and drove over night to Hamilton, a town that is always a good time for us and this time was no exception. Same as the night before, we played the show and quickly packed up and got back into the bus to drive over night back into Quebec past Montreal to play in Sherbrooke.... kind of odd routing but I must say touring is a bus is way easier than touring in a van.
hey have you guys ever seen 30 Rock? Our sound guy Joel brought season 1 and 2 .... it’s awesome!!! check it out.
oh if you haven’t already check out the song Do It Or Die by Die Mannequin (one of the opening bands on the tour) it gets stuck in my head all the time: )

bye for now
Travis

Sorry Chicoutimi

The joys of touring Canada in the winter continue for our fearless travelers. The 17 hour trip from Halifax NB to Chicoutimi Quebec was interrupted by an all encompassing snow storm that blanketed all of eastern Canada with about 30-50 cm of snow (that’s about 1-2 feet for our American friends). Whether rain, sleet or snow, our travelers were determined to reach their destination. However, the one thing that stood in their way were 5 orange pylons and a large red sign that read “ DETOUR: ROAD CLOSED”.  They were beaten....beaten into submission buy 5 strategically placed plastic cones and a square piece of wood covered in yellow flashing lights.....With their tails between their legs our heroes were forced to set up for an over night stay in Rivier-du-Loup Quebec...... 6 hours from Chicoutimi.
Stay tuned as our story continues.......for now enjoy some pictures of a snowy Rivier-du-Loup. confused
